Your plan stays fully active until the end of your current billing period — no service interruption when you cancel.
SquareBond doesn't cut access the moment you cancel. When you schedule a cancellation, Stripe marks the subscription to end at the natural close of your billing cycle. Everything continues working exactly as it does today until that date.
How to cancel
- Go to your Dashboard.
- Open the Subscription panel.
- Click Cancel plan.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears.
Your subscription is now scheduled to end at the close of the current billing period. You'll see the exact date in the dashboard ("Plan active until date").
What happens next
| Immediately after cancelling | At billing period end |
|---|---|
| Your plan stays active | Access ends |
| Your QR codes keep scanning | QR codes are deactivated |
| Dynamic links keep redirecting | Links reset to squarebond.com |
| Your dashboard remains accessible | Dashboard goes to free-tier view |
| Your analytics history is retained | Scan data is retained per Privacy Policy |
Think of it like listing a property — you set the closing date in advance. Nothing changes until the day arrives.
Changed your mind? Undo the cancellation
If you cancel and then reconsider, you can reverse it before the billing period ends. From your Dashboard, look for the Undo cancellation option in the Subscription panel — it appears while the cancellation is still pending. One click restores your subscription to normal active status, and no further action is needed.
Once the billing period has passed and your plan has lapsed, an undo is no longer possible. You'd need to start a new subscription.
A note on pending downgrades
If you had a downgrade scheduled when you cancel, the downgrade is automatically superseded — cancellation takes precedence. You don't need to manually remove the downgrade first.
Frequently asked questions
Am I charged anything extra when I cancel?
No. Cancellation schedules your plan to end at the natural billing period close — no extra charge, no early termination fee.
What happens to my QR codes after my plan ends?
When the plan expires, your QR codes are deactivated. Any printed or digitally shared materials pointing to those dynamic links will redirect to squarebond.com. To avoid disrupting active listings, schedule your cancellation for after those campaigns conclude.
Can I export my QR codes before cancelling?
Yes. You can download PNG and SVG versions of any code from your Wallet at any time, including your cancellation window period.
Can I resubscribe after cancelling?
Yes — your account stays open. From your Dashboard, subscribe to any plan at any time. If you previously used a trial, plans start at the Starter rate, not a trial.
Do I get a refund when I cancel?
Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support. See the full refund policy in Billing and refunds →
